The last time I saw Keira Knightley was in the 3rd Pirates of the Caribbean movie - and I thought she looked great, toned and thin but not too thin.
This picture of Keira from the 29th of August shows a much thinner figure:
I was shocked at the difference! She looks thin enough to have an […]

You can imagine how thrilled I was to see this data come out about each state’s percentage of obese folks. Tennessee ranks fifth - with 27.8 percent of the state being obese. Mississippi takes the cake (no pun intended) with 30.6 percent.
It’s no lie that here in the South we like our fried chicken and […]

In the news: You don’t necessarily have to be thin to be fit. A study of 400 overweight, sedentary women who exercised daily (as little as a brisk walk) for six months showed that they reduced their risk for a heart attack. Their aerobic fitness improved and their waistlines got smaller - without any weight […]

The Biggest Loser has consistently been my favorite weight-loss reality show. The inspiring transformations and hard-hitting trainers have delivered for me season after season. The season 4 premiere (Tuesday, Sept. 11th from 8-10 PM ET) will feature 18 contestants from around the U.S.

I went into GNC today in my local mall to have a look around - sometimes I see or read about a supplement I want to buy, so it never hurts to look. However, what caught my eye were the shelves and shelves of one diet pill after another (they even had boxes of Alli).

A serving of Burger King fries […]

The Weight Loss Report in the September issue of Women’s Health (available on newsstands now) had a few tidbits that caught my attention. One was about researchers discovering an obesity gene. It’s called FTO, and those who have it are 70 percent more likely to be obese.
But…here’s what I didn’t get. It says that those […]

Well it looks as though I’ve been tagged again for a friendly game of blog-tag, this time by low-carb icon Jimmy Moore. I’ve been busy with wedding plans (dress fittings, buying wedding rings etc) and I was tagged on Saturday so it’s time to get down to business.
8 Things About Me -
1. When I was […]

There’s been a lot of buzz online and in magazines lately about Fage 2% greek yogurt. Some of the gals who’ve talked about include Dietgirl and Jen from Yet Another Weight Watchers Blog.
Apparently this yogurt, which is low in fat, carbs and calories, is deliciously creamy and wonderful. It comes in original, 0% and 2%, […]

Hey folks! The following is a copy of the interview I did with Dr. Larry Robinson, vice president of scientific affairs for Embria
Health Sciences. They make an immune balancing product called EpiCor.
He talks below about the relationship between dieting and the immune system. It’s a long one, hope you’re up for it!
What is new in […]
