Chariots of Fire
This morning we took the long trek we did on Monday again but this time we ended up at the park. Not just any park but what appeared to be a toddler oasis of recycled tire pavement and slides galore. If the walk itself didn’t kick my butt, the following hour spent chasing, lifting and swinging certainly sent me over the top. Oh and then of course we had to walk home. This lesson was first learned after what we refer to as the Boehm Family trail of tears which began with us riding our bikes until we got tired and ended up with us lying on the side of the bike path crying. No matter how much energy you have on the way there, remember you will have to turn around and repeat the journey.
I’m proud of myself because I followed through with my plan. Granted it was not every day this week but the weather gave me a reprieve. So as I said, this will now be a part of my daily regime (weather permitting). The walk not necessarily the walk and the park. I don’t think I can manage the park more than twice a week. So the only barrier now is I need a new stroller. No really I need it. Don’t look at me like that. I need a good jogging stroller for these vigorous walks that will eventually turn into jogs. The hubs almost maybe sorta agreed with me.
I’ve narrowed it down to two options. The Bob Ironman or the Mountain Buggy Terrain. Which one do you like? I need
something that actually works in real life not just as a “show” stroller. To me the key to losing weight or getting fit is that it needs to actually work with your lifestyle. I’m trying hard to deal with my reality in order to get where I want to be. Wish me luck.

I prefer the Ironman. It seems more durable, for some reason.
