Eat Eggs, Lose Weight

In the August issue of FitnessRx for women, I came across something interesting that talked about the relationship between eggs and weight loss. Now, typically we’ve been told not to eat the egg yolks as they’re full of cholesterol - you know, causing heart disease and such. That’s why products like Eggbeaters came out, and most celebrity diet plans include egg-white omelets and the like for breakfast.
Well, guess what? Eating cholesterol doesn’t make you fat. In fact, in an 8-week-long study from Louisiana State University, obese women who ate two eggs (yolks included!) a day lost 65 percent more weight and had an 83 percent greater reduction in waist size.
Eggs can help you lose weight by making you feel full longer. I always feel much fuller after I have eggs with a meal. This is because of their high protein content (6 grams per egg). With only 80 calories for one large egg, you can’t go wrong!
