Jumping On The Fage Greek Yogurt Bandwagon
There’s been a lot of buzz online and in magazines lately about Fage 2% greek yogurt. Some of the gals who’ve talked about include Dietgirl and Jen from Yet Another Weight Watchers Blog.
Apparently this yogurt, which is low in fat, carbs and calories, is deliciously creamy and wonderful. It comes in original, 0% and 2%, as well as single serving cups with honey.
Why oh why can’t I find it in stores?
I might have to make a trip out to my local Earth Fare to see if they carry it here. In the meantime, here’s the nutritional breakdown:
Calories - 130
Total fat - 4g
Saturated fat - 3g
Sodium - 65 mg
Carbs - 8g
Protein - 17g
Calcium - 15% RDA
Sounds perfect, doesn’t it? Although it’s not suitable if you are on Atkins induction or for some purists, I’ve found that I can consume a few more carbs without it affecting my weight loss.
Now what to have with it? I’m thinking a little Splenda and some strawberries (or raspberries!).
UPDATE: As you can see from the comments, I found this wonderful yogurt at my local Fresh Market. It’s got a very creamy consistency, and could easily double as sour cream if you don’t sweeten it. I put in 3 packets of Splenda and some fresh cherries, and it was the best dessert/snack ever. Two thumbs up!

It’s my new favorite thing. It’s also really good with a little splenda and some granola or Kashi mixed in if you want to add a little crunch!!
