Meieli: Getting Healthy, Plus Version

Hey, I’m Meieli, and I want to introduce myself and throw myself into the mix of other Burning the Scale bloggers! I signed up to collaborate with my fellow b5 friends and get healthier this year, and I can’t wait to share all my challenges. . . LOL. I’m going to cook up a health scheme that’s a touch French Women Don’t Get Fat, my favorite “healthy lifestyle” book, and hopefully add in small, friendly workouts on a regular basis. Tomorrow’s the first day this year that I’ll be in the gym… definitely not the last.

And my goals? Feel better! The more I exercise, the better I feel, but my biggest problem is that I’m really, really intimidated by my gym. I hate the free weight area, I hate exercise classes (torture!), and I almost feel too uncomfortable to walk around in the downstairs section. I think I’m the ideal candidate for Curves! Anyway, I’ll try to get over it since I do have a three-year contract, but I don’t want to make that mistake again. :)

Oh, and I’ll be wearing the Retro Aztec Shoes from Scarlett Johansson. They’re my absolute pick-me-up during gym time.

    That is an awesome book - I just love it. And it makes so much sense. I am sick of going on “diets” just to fall back into the old habits. The key is NOT EATING TOO MUCH. Pretty plain and simple. I hope we all get it soon! :)

    I know. This book is my hands-down favorite. It’s not even pro-gym! It’s just “pro-activity”. . . perfect.
