Burning The Scale

Recommended Workout Wear

by meielisawy on March 23rd, 2008

carnie-wilson-weight-loss I’m not a big fan of plus pieces that bind and almost choke me while I’m on the treadmill, attempting my best stretch, or secretly sweating to the oldies, and that’s why I was on a serious search for nice looking, well-wearing exercise gear that’s *also* budget friendly. The search hasn’t been easy, but I’ve found something that I’m going to be sticking to for some time now: Always for Me Workout Gear.

Trying out their exercise pants was the best treat of all. I’ve always had a lot of tees that fit reasonably well (although they might be printed with the most ridiculous of sayings), but trousers are a huge problem. Buy them plus, and have them hang in the center inseam crotch area, or try to squeeze into regular workout pants and have them be absolutely, positively uncomfortable and possibly just a little see-through as well.

Problem solved! I tried the Yoga Pants, which are available in generous sizes up to 6X. Hurrah! Finally something that’s pretty loose without being baggy, and available in a thicker material that’s deep, dark black– not that yucky sweatpant material that fades after a couple of washes.

I took these trousers out to the gym, and I can certainly recommend them for a woman who prefers their trousers a little on the looser side for serious stretching, weights activities, and cardio like the elliptical. If you’re going to be wearing these for high-impact stuff, I definitely recommend pulling on tight spandex boyshorts or bike shorts underneath to kill the bounce/shake.

Do you have any favorite brands for workout gear? Do tell.
