The Latest From Cytodyne - Xenadrine Detox

Paging through a magazine recently I saw an ad by the makers of Xenadrine for a new product called Xenadrine Detox. Among its claims are that it “Helps to purify the body and promote weight loss.” It also contains lemon, maple syrup and molasses - remiscent of Beyonce’s disgusting maple syrup/cayenne pepper diet.
If you look on the website, it will tell you that each serving of these pills contain 180 mg of caffeine (there’s around 50 mg in a can of Diet Coke), which helps “control appetite.” Actually, caffeine has been proven to be an extremely poor appetite suppressant in women. It’s somewhat better in men, but I’m guessing this is a pill targeted at females.
Want to know how you’ll lose weight? This sentence is a clue - “If a person has poor digestion and sluggish elimination, food can remain in the digestive tract for a longer period of time…” Oh, ok, so it makes us go to the bathroom like crazy? For 14 days? You’d be lucky not to end up in a hospital!
I’m guessing this isn’t going to be their star product…
