When Sickness Gets You

breakfast Sometimes you are forced to start a better routine, and it’s not necessarily due to your healthy resolutions! I was at the doctors this week, and that’s it: no more junk. I think it’s easier to do this when a doctor tells you to. . . I’ve got some blood pressure-y stuff going on (not major, but I don’t it want it to be, either), plus some cellular changes that means I need to boost my Omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants. In other words, change my entire diet and not let my husband run the show. :P

My first step has been to stock up on all my old favorite supplements, such as Folic Acid, Vitamin C, and Beta Carotene. Yup! I’m back to caring for myself, and this time, perhaps a little jolt in the right direction was exactly what I needed to get back in the game. Has anyone ever been in the same situation, where you need to get healthy because a doctor orders you to, due to an upcoming procedure, or something else? I’d love to know how you dealt with it.
